High-Performance Program

(Peewee/Ban/Fem/Midget)

These programs are broken down into phases that ramp up throughout the spring & summer to have the athlete’s peaking for camp and performing optimally on the ice for the 2019-20 season:

Spring – General physical preparation. Recovery from in-season, focus on mechanics and corrective exercises, and development of aerobic base.

Off-season Prep – Ramp up for the higher intensity of the off-season and apply techniques and movements from the previous phase.

Summer High-Performance Program
Phase 1- Aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, low-intensity strength training
Phase 2- High volume strength training, SAQ mechanics/skill acquisition and training
Phase 3- High-intensity strength/power protocol, speed and explosiveness
Phase 4- Peaking in power/strength/speed and sport-specific energy system development

  • NSCA Certified Strength Coach lead small groups for individual focus and support
  • Certified Sports Chiropractor designed movement screen and corrective exercise program 
  • Certified Sports Nutritionist designed nutrition program
  • Performance testing, tracking and end of season results using our state of the art precision equipment
  • Certified Strength Coach designed programs focused specifically to the needs of each level of athletes
  • Outside of gym training/ track workouts every Friday

Development Program Details

(Nov./Atom)

These programs are focused on developing athletic ability by mastering fundamental movements. At this age, athletes will benefit the most from a training program that will include coordination, balance & stability, technical speed & agility work, and an introduction to light strength training. We use the latest technology, training methods, and experience to maximize the results of these young athletes while taking a long term athletic approach to development.

 

Our summer development program offers:

  • Certified Strength Coach lead programs.
  • Performance testing with our state of the art precision equipment to track start point, progress, and end results
  • Nutritional information package on eating for performance for young athletes

 

SpringRecovery from in-season, focus on mechanics, corrective exercises, and development of aerobic base.

Off-season PrepRamp up for the higher intensity of the off-season and apply techniques and movements learned in the previous phase.

Off-Season – Key skills for long term development in speed, agility, power, conditioning, and coordination. This phased program will focus on all key areas of performance and have athletes peaking in time for tryouts.
